Evidence-Based Practices

Evidence-based practices are medical practices supported by research using the scientific method.  The IPEC has created and compiled documents relating to evidence-based practices for the medical issues below.  To view the publicly available documentation, click the respective links.

Central Line - When a central venous line is used on patients, a small number of them may develop infections.  However, there are a number of evidence-based practices that can minimize the number of patients that will develop these infections.
