About Us
Dr. Woods is an expert in the area of human performance and error, as well as the interaction between humans and computers in a variety of applications including critical care medicine, surgical operating rooms, medical evacuation decision making, space operations, power plant control and aviation. Currently he is a professor in the Institute for Ergonomics, and co-director of the Cognitive Systems Engineering Lab at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He is also the Chair of the National Health Care Safety Council of the National Patient Safety Foundation at the AMA.
