Suzanne Brungs, RN, MSN, MBA
Suzanne is a graduate of Xavier University where she received her MBA and her MSN. She received her BSN from The College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati. Before coming to The GAPS Center, Suzanne worked as a bedside nurse for 15 years. Suzanne is one of the Project Coordinators for the Inpatient Evaluation Center (IPEC). The IPEC is a national program that will measure and report risk adjusted outcomes as well as implement evidence-based practices in the VA ICUs. Previously, Suzanne was the Project Coordinator of the AHRQ funded Patient Safety Project “Towards a Safety Culture: Reducing Nosocomial Infections. This was a local 10-hospital project geared towards reducing nosocomial infections in the ICU and the Operation Room by implementing evidence-based practices. The project was the recipient of the 2005 JCAHO Ernest A. Codman Award for the Multi-Organization category and a national Patient Safety Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
